In 2020, Te Rūnanga o Moeraki reviewed their structure to assess whether they were fit for purpose to respond to the growing demands on their time and the opportunities that were emerging. NAIA worked with the rūnanga and those involved in its operations over many years to produce a report on the rūnanga and its function. The report also explored alternative operating models and provided analysis of opportunities. Its purpose was to assist the rūnanga in their discussions about how they should operate in the future.
